  • Dispersions in Watercolour for solo violin received a performance by Kyra Davies at the New Music Gathering via Zoom on 17 August
  • Brightwork Fellowship for Impulse New Music Festival in Los Angeles, California, including US premiere of of Woven half dreams for solo cello and To know the dark for mixed ensemble
  • Hats and Heels duo commissioned interdiscipilinary work She was a woman, for bassoon, harp, music box, spoken voices, and electronics and premiered the work in summer 2021 in Rochester, New York and Ithaca, New York
  • Acceptance into the Fresh Squeezed Vocal Lab, with the opportunity to partner and workshop with baritone Daniel Klein and pianist Felix Jarrar on Tucked Beneath for baritone and piano

  • As the moon runs red was the winner of the 3rd International Composition Competition NEW VISIONS: Trumpet Category.
  • Spaces Frozen for viola and cello was selected and given its US premiere as part of Verdant Vibes Numinous Spaces concert. Performance by cellist Zan Berry and violist Hannah Ross, with imagery by Alexander Dupuis
  • As the moon runs red selected for performance in the New Music on the Bayou Festival, receiving its US premiere by Steven Cunningham on 3 June
  • Eye o da hurricane​ for string quartet was selected for the 29th International Review of Composers (Belgrade, Serbia) and subsequently broadcast on Serbian television and radio on 15 June. It is now available on youtube and begins this second concert: https://youtu.be/RGO7qg3oLWw with Dušan Panajotović & Miloš Stevanović – violin/violins Marina Popović – viola, Srđan Sretenović – violončelo/cello performing the work.
  • Invited to write a new work for one piano and six hands for the Arc Project, resulting in Murmurations​ and a digital premiere in August 2021
  • New commission by Diversify the Stand in November 2021, resulting in the solo Noctilucent
  • Accepted as one of six composers for the sixth year of the RSNO Composers' Hub, resulting in the new work The Louder the Birds Sing for orchestra
  • Connected Skies - A series of new solo pieces to connect with musicians and audiences around the globe. This project is supported by Art Council England, and the works will receive their digital premiere performances beginning 21 January. These six works will be roughly 10 minutes each, and will be written between October 2020 to May 2021 for accordion, double bass, cello, flute with glissando head joint, mezzo-soprano, and percussion

  • Accepted as a Composition Fellow for the 2020 Tanglewood Digital Music Festival
  • Illuminate Women's Music launched Season I 2020 artists and composers. Performers in Residence include saxophonist Naomi Sullivan and pianist Yshani Perinpanayagam and composers include Lara Poe, Nina Danon, and Ray Gibson. Illuminate Women's Music 2020 concerts are sponsored by ISM.

2019

  • Accepted to the Phoenix Dance Choreographers and Composers Lab 2019
  • Travel to Finland June 2019 to partake in Composers' Workshop: Visual music, resulting in the workshopping of Pattern of Shadows
  • Attending Soundstreams' Emerging Composer Workshop Showcase
  • Completed PhD in Composition at the University of Nottingham, and took part in the St. Magnus Composition Festival and the Britten-Pears composition course

2018

  • As the moon runs red selected for John Armitage Memorial Trust 'Music of Our Time' concert. It will receive a premiere 22 March, performed by Alan Thomas, part of Onyx Brass
  • Attended the 2018 Aldeburgh Festival 8-24 June
  • Receipient of the 2018 Mendelssohn Scholarship Foundation Award
  • Soaring in Stasis received its premiere 22 June as part of the Britten-Pears Young Artists Programme
  • Future Blend Project winner - received a performance of The Sky Burst ​by Rosanna Moore
  • British shortlist for the International Society for Contemporary Music's World Music Days Festival in Beijing 2018
  • Illuminate Concert Series launch in 2018: Six composers - Angela Elizabeth Slater, Blair Boyd, Gemma Mcgregor, Carol J Jones, and Sarah Westwood - will be writing exciting new works for performers Késia Decoté (piano), Cassie Matthews (guitar), Sabina Virtosu (violin) and composer-performer Gemma Mcgregor (flute/shakuhachi). These new works will be performed alongside a number of historical women composers such as Morfydd Owen, Lily Boulanger, and Amy Beach.
